The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 offers a 3 inch Android touch screen display for easy input and user interface as well as more Apps from Android Market to download and use. The handset also has a 3.2 megapixel camera with Geotagging and capable of image and video capture.
The handset offers both integrated Facebook and Twitter allowing you to easily share your thoughts with friends and the world. Twitter also has Timescape which puts all of your messages and social networking together in one easy to view place, where you can quickly reply to messages and tweet. Other messaging features include the intent messaging along with Conversations offering a threaded text messaging, besides the normal text and multimedia messaging offered.
The Xperia X8 has an internal aGPS receiver enabling it to provide advanced location based services. These include Google Maps for instant onscreen maps and directions form one destination to another, as well as Wisepilot which provides in-depth turn by turn navigation by foot, or in-car. The WiFi capability also enables you to connect easily to a fast internet connection when roaming around. Other connectivity is offered through the USB with syncing capabilities and mass storage, which allows you to sync a lot of data and files to a PC, releasing space from the phones 16 gigabytes of expandable microSD memory.
Music and entertainment offered include the Music Player which sorts all of your tracks and provides album artwork so you can quickly locate the album or tune you are looking for. The PlayNow application lets you find music and download it, while the TrackID app lets you find the track name by recognizing only a few seconds of sound recording of a live song. The Bluetooth technology present, includes wireless stereo profile which enables you to listen to music wirelessly between the phone and a stereo system or stereo headset respectively. Other entertainment features include the integrated YouTube and video streaming along with Java support and 3D games for gamers. Additionally, for more live music and to keep up with news, there is an integrated FM radio with RDS support.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is a compact, easy to hold handset featuring a small but powerful touch screen with an intuitive user interface which is easy to use and allows you to customise shortcuts in the corners of the home screen.
